As usual we started off the year with a two week trip to Breckenridge Colorado.  This year we added a few days on the beginning of our trip and stayed in Denver so we could drive up to Grant Nebraska and visit Paul’s 93 year old Uncle Roger and meet his daughter Jennifer.  It was wonderful seeing Roger again.  We hadn’t seen him since Paul’s mother passed away in 2003.  We had never met his daughter so that was a treat.  Here is a picture of Roger, Jennifer and Paul.

The day after our visit we headed to Breckenridge.  As usual we stay at the Hilton Grand Vacation Time-share Valdoro.  Here is a picture from our window:

On Monday we started skiing.  Here is a video of Patti skiing.  Paul is using his GoPro with a stabilizer on it.

 

We always go to Breckenridge the end of January because they have a snow sculpting competition.  The town creates blocks of packed powder snow about 12X12X12 feet and teams come in make marvelous sculptures out of the snow.  Here are some of the results of their work.
